New Health Assessment You Won’t Want to Miss

Is your good diet doing you good?

It is quite common that people tell us they don’t know why they feel so tired/bad/depressed (etc) all the time when they feel they’re eating well and are often taking a regimen of supplements. Yet many people go through life with limited energy, reduced immunity, and even sadness due to imbalances in their nutrition.
Your nutrition is a two-sided coin that includes on one side, diet, and on the other side, absorption.  In other words, you can eat a great diet and still be undernourished if there are factors getting in the way of absorption.  And, taking supplements is not always the answer because if your body is not absorbing you can create symptoms around too many nutrients in the system!
Every doc (worth their salt) out there is interested in your nutrient status. With this in mind, we’ve developed a unique Nutrient Assessment Package that gives you a comprehensive and very detailed look at how you’re interacting with and utilizing nutrients from both your diet and supplementation.  This information is then useful for modifying your diet and health routines in a very specific way to ensure effective outcomes.
Put simply – no more guessing!

These nutrients are looked at both intracellular – which includes the micronutrients absorbed by your circulating white and red blood cells, and extracellular – the micronutrients that are free floating in your blood and exist outside the cells.

We start with a Nutritional Assessment Questionnaire to fully understand which systems are being most heavily burdened.  The Nutri-Q is the most comprehensive nutritional analysis tool available. It includes a standardized questionnaire to help analyze your nutrient needs, an online diet diary, and individualized supplement recommendations.
Next we use a very powerful blood test for micronutrient status. Micronutrients, as opposed to macronutrients (protein, carbohydrates and fat), are comprised of vitamins and minerals which are required in small quantities to ensure normal metabolism, growth and physical well‐being.  These nutrients are looked at both intracellular – includes the micronutrients absorbed by your circulating white and red blood cells, and extracellular – the micronutrients that are free floating in your blood and exist outside the cells.
Why is this important?

Your genetics, aging, lifestyle, chronic illness, and medications all affect your cellular nutrient absorption.  This test can reveal a person’s functional nutritional status with both short and long-term results.

Benefits of testing include:

  • Identifying baseline nutritional deficiencies.
  • Detecting higher than normal levels of vitamins and minerals in your blood.
  • Identifying excesses of nutrients caused by too much supplementation.
  • Avoiding unnecessary spending on costly supplements.
  • Identifying functional deficiencies in intracellular micronutrient levels (cellular nutrient absorption deficiency).
  • Identifying essential micronutrient absorption deficiencies which cause or increase the risk of chronic diseases.
  • Providing a long-term nutritional assessment of the previous 4-6 months.

This health assessment can then be taken to any practitioner or program you are already engaged in to further enhance the efforts you are making with vital and real information.

Knowing both your extracellular and intracellular micronutrient levels are key to a thorough understanding of your nutritional requirements that may contribute to lowering your risk for disease, while positively impacting your overall health and well-being.
