Acupuncture & Cold Laser Therapy

A large and growing body of research is demonstrating scientifically what has been known for a few thousand years: acupuncture plays an extremely important role in cancer care. Acupuncture can help with a multitude of issues including pain relief and reduction of symptoms associated, with immune stimulation and enhanced vitality. Chinese medicine is vital to the overall well-being of cancer patients.

The cold laser utilizes specific wavelengths and frequencies of light to have a wide range of effects on cells and tissue.  Dr. Nigh uses the clinic’s high-power Class 3b laser to stimulate acupuncture points, especially points on the ears, hands, and feet. Laser acupuncture is a unique way of combining the biphotonic properties of both red and infrared laser light, with the elaborate and interconnected meridian network recognized in Chinese Medicine.

Asyra Assessment

The Asyra represents the latest available technology for monitoring and addressing changes in the body’s autonomic nervous system. The Asyra “pings” the body with hundreds of electromagnetic patterns, each representing a unique bacteria, virus, mold, environmental toxin, heavy metal, food, and even thought patterns and emotional states. Changes detected in skin resistance in response to these challenges indicate potential stressors that need to be addressed. The Asyra then can be used to generate an individualized “informational” remedy whereby a set of therapeutic frequencies are imprinted on a sample of water, which is then taken in a prescribed number of drops each day.

Maria has been through extensive training on the use of the Asyra. Used with another functional testing, the Asyra provides invaluable information about the underlying imbalances in each patient.

Bio-Well Assessment

Bio-Well is a unique device that measures the emission of biophotons from the fingertips. Biophotons charge the air around them, and the Bio-Well detects the amount of charge in the gasses surrounding the fingertips. The Chinese meridians end in the fingertips as well, so the Bio-Well maps the intensity of biophotonic output from each region of the fingertips to the Chinese meridian system. The result is a detailed map of the right/left and yin/yang energy capacity and balance associated with the organs and systems of the body.

Frequency Specific BioResonance

Every organism – be it a mold that causes respiratory illness, a spirochete that causes Lyme disease, or a virus that causes hepatitis or influenza – has a characteristic frequency at which it vibrates. Modern research is even documenting specific frequencies associated with specific cancer types. Utilizing the indicated frequencies to establish resonance with these cells and organisms to “shatter” them is gaining interest in the conventional medical world. This is especially true in an environment where antibiotic-resistant bacteria are an increasing menace. Dr. Nigh has been researching frequency-based therapies for over a decade, and in fact, it was his learning of the historical use of this therapy on cancer patients that ultimately led to his pursuit of naturopathic medicine and his specialty in naturopathic oncology.

Genetic Analysis

Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), commonly known as “snips,” occur when one nucleotide at a particular location on a gene is switched for a different nucleotide. Millions of these snips occur in each of us, and the vast majority of them have no known impact on our health. However, there are hundreds of these snips that do, in fact, significantly impact how our bodies carry out various processes like detoxification, hormone metabolism, methylation, sulfur processing, stress regulation, and many dozens of others.

Dr. Nigh has studied the impact of these polymorphisms for several years. He has been certified in the use of the Opus23 dataset, the most complex and comprehensive genetic polymorphism analysis software currently available. Dr. Nigh helps patients understand the role that these underlying genetic snips might be playing not only in their current health but have been playing throughout their lives.

HOCATT Sauna

HOCATT™ stands for Hyperthermic Ozone and Carbonic Acid Transdermal Technique. That seems like a mouthful, but it doesn’t begin to encompass the wide range of therapies that can be delivered during each HOCATT™ session. The HOCATT™ can facilitate intensive detoxification, skin rejuvenation and anti-aging therapies, cellulite mobilization and weight loss, oxygenation, and much more. The modalities built into the HOCATT™ make it ideal as both a stand-alone set of therapies, and a perfect addition to a comprehensive program for the treatment of cancer, chronic fatigue, mold illness, autoimmune disease, and much more.

Intravenous Ozone

This is a procedure where blood is withdrawn from the body and mixed in a bag with saline. Ozone gas is then bubbled through the blood for a specific amount of time, causing proteins in the blood to react and produce compounds called ozonides, then the blood is returned to circulation. The ozonides have a wide range of beneficial effects on the body, including immune stimulation, enhanced cellular energy production, improved circulation, and oxygen delivery, and much more. This procedure is commonly referred to as Major Autohemotherapy (MAH) and is one of several oxidative therapies Dr. Nigh utilizes in treatment programs. It is commonly used in conjunction with ultraviolet blood irradiation.

Ultraviolet Blood Irradiation

Similar to intravenous in some respects, UVBI involves withdrawing a relatively small amount of blood from the body and mixing it in a bag with saline. As it returns to the body it passes through a chamber fitted with UVA, UVB, and UVC lights. Exposing the blood to UV light has a very powerful effect on immune cells. UVBI is perhaps the single most important therapy to utilize when addressing autoimmune illness and chronic degenerative diseases. Combined with intravenous ozone these therapies are central oxidative therapies for addressing a wide range of infections and chronic health conditions.

 IV Therapies

Intravenous (IV) nutrient therapy is one of the most powerful non-conventional therapies available. There are a number of situations where IV therapy might be the therapy of choice for a patient. These include:

  • Severe digestive problems limit digestion and absorption of nutrients taken by mouth

  • Acute illness that can resolve more quickly with strong immune stimulation

  • Depletion of basic nutrients and electrolytes after extreme physical exertion (including before/after sporting events)

  • Recovery from surgery or other physical trauma

  • Undernutrition and even malnutrition in elderly patients who can greatly benefit from IV nutrients

Patients in these and other situations can often respond quickly and quite dramatically to infusion of appropriate vitamins, minerals, amino acids and other nutrients. Dr. Nigh has been through extensive training in the use of nutritional IVs, and now has over a decade of experience formulating and prescribing several different IV “recipes” for patients. Here are some of the most common types of IVs in use at Immersion Health.

Meyer’s Drip

This is a basic vitamin and mineral formula that is commonly used for immune boosting around colds and flu. It can also be a great starting point for highly sensitive patients as well as those with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue. These are relatively quick IVs that can be done as often as once daily during acute illness or times of high stress.

Vitamin/Mineral Drip

Similar to Myer’s drip, this formula contains a broader range of nutrients at higher doses. Commonly used with elderly patients and those recovering from severe illnesses. We often add amino acids to this formula to support protein levels in severely depleted patients. This relatively basic formula has brought about significant improvement in both physical and cognitive function in several elderly patients we’ve used it with.

Hydrogen Peroxide Drip

Hydrogen peroxide IV drips powerfully stimulate the activity of the immune cells. In addition, peroxide breaks down into water and oxygen in the blood. This excess oxygen can then be used as an oxygenating therapy for cancer patients and others with reduced oxygen levels, including those with respiratory disease, anemia, and diabetics with reduced blood flow in their hands and feet. Peroxide has a unique ability to mobilize mucus, especially in the lungs. Respiratory diseases such as asthma, bronchitis, and emphysema are among the most responsive to these IVs.

High Dose Vitamin C Drip

Some cancers and infectious diseases respond well to high-dose vitamin C therapy. This involves an escalating dose of vitamin C, typically starting around 20g and climbing as high as 100g per drip. In order to assure the patient’s safety, it is essential to run a test called Glucose-6-Phosphate Dehydrogenase (G6PD) prior to using more than 20g of vitamin C in a drip.

Alpha Lipoic Acid Drip

This unique water- and fat-soluble antioxidant is a powerful metabolic therapy against cancer, coaxing those cells to return to a “healthy” type of energy production. In addition, it can be extremely beneficial for patients with hepatitis, diabetes, and other chronic diseases. ALA improves blood sugar control in diabetics, can help treat neuropathies in diabetics and cancer patients, and it will even help to bind and eliminate heavy metals from the body!

High Dose Bicarbonate Drip

This drip is specifically used with cancer patients and takes advantage of the fact that cancer cells have increased bicarbonate uptake. Studies have shown that bicarbonate can alkalinize the cancer environment, slowing growth and reducing the risk of spread.

Glutathione Push

Glutathione is a master detoxifying molecule and powerful antioxidant. Glutathione pushes are used with all types of neurological diseases. It can also facilitate the removal of heavy metals, toxic chemicals, and other metabolic wastes. A series of glutathione pushes can be very helpful for those dealing with chronic viral illnesses or, more recently, long Covid.
