Integrative medicine is a a great idea, one that virtually all patients resonate with. Most people would like for their conventional doctor to respect and communicate with their alternative health care providers, and vice versa. Unfortunately, this kind of integrated patient care is extremely hard to find.
Starting mid-December, Chris Hatlestad, MD, will be moving his practice into the Portland Natural Health (PNH) building. He will have his office in the lower level where Maria and I have established Immersion Health. This is ideal for his practice and for ours: it allows him easy access to the IV therapy suite and medical support staff, and it allows Maria and I to benefit from the unique set of services and expertise that he brings in.
Dr. Hatlestad has been in practice for over 20 years. He has worked in many settings, including hospital based multi-specialty clinics and community health clinics. For the past 15 years, though, he has focused very heavily on utilizing a wide range of alternative therapies with his patients to treat a wide range of chronic and degenerative diseases. Unique therapies Dr. Hatlestad offers include:
Environmental toxicity assessments and detoxification therapies
Bio-identical Hormone therapies including thyroid and adrenal re-balancing
Botanical and Nutritional medicine
No-scalpel vasectomy and other minor dermatologic procedures
Injection therapies for musculoskeletal pain and tissue repair
Allergy assessment and treatment
Dr. Hatlestad makes use of these and many other therapies to treat a wide range of chronic and degenerative diseases.
I'm very psyched to have him bring his practice into the space of Immersion Health. I think it is the beginning of a long and productive collaboration between us all.
